Peptide tools
The arithmetic that sits behind every study, certificate of analysis and research budget, done for you. Each tool explains its own working, links to the glossary term it depends on, and performs conversions only. None of them recommends a compound, a dose or a schedule. Research and educational use only.
01
Dosage calculator
Vial size, bacteriostatic water and a target dose in, insulin-syringe units, concentration per unit and doses per vial out. Single compound or multi-peptide blend.
- ? How many units do I draw?
- ? What concentration does 2 mL give?
02
Half-life calculator
Pick one of 19 compounds on file or enter a half-life. See how long a dose persists, how repeat dosing accumulates, when steady state is reached and how long washout takes, with a chart.
- ? How long does semaglutide stay in the system?
- ? What is the accumulation ratio for weekly dosing?
03
Unit converter
Milligrams to micrograms, millilitres to U-100 syringe units, mg/mL to micrograms per unit, somatropin IU to mg, and schedule arithmetic, with the reference tables behind each factor.
- ? How many mcg in 1 mg?
- ? How many units is 0.3 mL?
04
Vial planner
Doses per vial, days per vial and cost per dose in CAD for any vial size and schedule, with reconstituted shelf life taken into account so nothing is bought that would expire unused.
- ? How many doses in a 5 mg vial?
- ? What does each dose cost?
The terms behind the tools
Each calculator rests on a handful of definitions. Read them once and the numbers stop being magic.
- Reconstitution →Dissolving lyophilised peptide in a sterile diluent so it can be measured and drawn as a liquid.
- Insulin syringe units (U-100) →On a U-100 syringe, 100 units equals 1 mL, so each unit is 0.01 mL; how much peptide that holds depends on the concentration.
- Concentration (mg/mL) →How much peptide is dissolved per volume of diluent; set by reconstitution, it converts syringe units into micrograms.
- Half-life →The time for a compound's concentration in the body to fall by half; it sets how often a peptide was dosed in studies.
- Lyophilised (freeze-dried) →Freeze-dried powder: the stable form research peptides ship in, reconstituted with bacteriostatic water before use.
- Titration (dose escalation) →Starting a compound at a low amount and stepping it up over weeks; how every incretin trial and approved product is dosed.
