Semax
ACTH(4-10) analogue neuropeptide
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide built from a four-residue fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone, ACTH(4-7), with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail added for stability. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow, is registered in Russia as a nasal solution for cognitive and cerebrovascular indications, and is studied in rodents for its effects on BDNF expression, attention and ischaemic injury. No Western regulator has reviewed it. Canada Peptides carries research-grade Semax as a 5 mg vial, a 5 mg reloadable pen and in Semax + Selank blends, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Minutes in blood (rodent data); effects on gene expression reported for hours to days
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Selank
Tuftsin-analogue anxiolytic heptapeptide
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide built from tuftsin, a natural immune-regulating tetrapeptide, with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail added for stability. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow and is registered in Russia as a prescription nasal solution for anxiety, which gives it something most research peptides lack: a human clinical record. That record is almost entirely Russian-language, open-label and small, and no Western regulator has reviewed it. Canada Peptides carries research-grade Selank as a 5 mg vial, a 5 mg reloadable pen and in Semax + Selank blends, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Minutes in plasma (rodent data); behavioural effects reported for hours after intranasal dosing
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Cerebrolysin
Porcine brain-derived peptide mixture
Cerebrolysin is not a single peptide. It is a standardised mixture of short peptides and free amino acids produced by enzymatic digestion of pig brain protein, manufactured by EVER Neuro Pharma in Austria, where it has been an approved medicine since 1996, and marketed in some fifty countries for stroke, dementia and brain injury — but not in Canada, the United States or Western Europe outside Austria. It has more randomised trial data than almost anything else in this catalogue, and the most rigorous synthesis of it, a 2023 Cochrane review, found no effect on death after stroke and an increase in serious adverse events. Canada Peptides lists research-grade Cerebrolysin, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Not measurable — the labelling states conventional pharmacokinetics cannot be determined because the constituent peptides resemble endogenous ones
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN; not FDA-approved; approved in Austria and other markets. Research use only
MOTS-c
Mitochondrial-derived peptide
MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded not in the nucleus but in the mitochondrial genome, inside the gene for the 12S ribosomal RNA. Identified in 2015 by Changhan Lee and Pinchas Cohen at the University of Southern California, it circulates in human blood, rises with exercise, declines with age, and in mice acts through AMPK to improve insulin sensitivity and physical capacity. The human data is a handful of small observational studies and one Phase 1 programme of an analogue. Canada Peptides carries research-grade MOTS-c as a 10 mg lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Not established in humans; rodent plasma levels fall within hours after injection, with tissue effects lasting longer
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
SLU-PP-332
ERR agonist (small molecule)
SLU-PP-332 is not a peptide. It is a synthetic small molecule that activates the three oestrogen-related receptors — orphan nuclear receptors that switch on the genes for mitochondrial biogenesis and fatty-acid oxidation in muscle — and it became widely known in 2023 when two papers from one laboratory reported that it made mice run further and lose fat. That is the entire evidence base: mouse studies from the group that designed it, no human pharmacokinetics, no human safety data and no clinical trial anywhere. Canada Peptides carries research-grade SLU-PP-332, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Short in mice — on the order of hours — which is why the studies dosed twice daily; no human data
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN; never reviewed by any regulator. Research use only
KLOW
Blend: GHK-Cu + BPC-157 + TB-500 + KPV
KLOW is a four-peptide blend that adds the anti-inflammatory tripeptide KPV to the GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500 base used in GLOW, in a single lyophilised vial. The rationale is to layer inflammatory-pathway suppression under the matrix, angiogenic and cell-migration mechanisms of the other three. No published study has tested the four together; the evidence is the separate literature on each component, all of it preclinical. Canada Peptides carries research-grade KLOW as a single vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Minutes for each component in plasma; tissue effects reported to outlast circulating levels
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN for the blend or any injectable component. Research use only
BPC-157
Gastric pentadecapeptide
BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid fragment of a protein found in human gastric juice. Over three decades it has built one of the largest preclinical literatures of any research peptide — tendon, ligament, muscle, gut and nervous-system models — almost all of it from a single laboratory and almost none of it in humans. Canada Peptides carries research-grade BPC-157 as a standalone 5 mg vial and in a BPC-157 + TB-500 blend, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Under 30 minutes in plasma (rodent and dog PK); effects in tissue outlast circulating levels
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
TB-500
Thymosin β4 fragment
TB-500 is the research-market name for a synthetic peptide derived from thymosin β4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino-acid actin-binding protein present in almost every human cell. The parent protein has a substantial, multi-laboratory preclinical literature in wound, corneal and cardiac-repair models and has been taken into human trials by a U.S. biotechnology company; the short synthetic fragment sold as TB-500 has very little published data of its own. Canada Peptides carries research-grade TB-500 in 2 mg and 5 mg vials and in a BPC-157 + TB-500 blend, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Short; minutes to low hours in plasma for the parent protein. No published PK for the research fragment
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
KPV
α-MSH C-terminal tripeptide
KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val — the last three amino acids of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It was identified in the 1980s as the fragment that carried α-MSH's anti-inflammatory activity without its pigmentation activity, and it has since been studied mainly in mouse models of colitis, where it is taken up by the intestinal transporter PepT1 and reported to dampen NF-κB-driven inflammation. There are no human trials. Canada Peptides carries research-grade KPV as a standalone vial and as a component of the KLOW blend, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Not formally characterised; free tripeptides are cleared from plasma within minutes
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Semaglutide
GLP-1 receptor agonist
Semaglutide is a long-acting analogue of the gut hormone GLP-1, engineered to survive in circulation for about a week instead of a few minutes. It is the most clinically characterised peptide in this catalogue: the same molecule is approved by Health Canada as the prescription medicines Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus, with tens of thousands of trial participants behind it. Canada Peptides carries research-grade semaglutide as a 5 mg lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only. It is not the approved drug and carries no DIN.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Approximately 165 hours (about 7 days) after subcutaneous injection
- Approved as a prescription drug (Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus; generics from 2026). Research-grade material has no DIN — research use only
Tirzepatide
GLP-1 / GIP dual agonist
Tirzepatide is a single 39-amino-acid peptide that activates two incretin receptors at once — GIP and GLP-1 — with a fatty-acid side chain that keeps it in circulation for about five days. It is the molecule Health Canada authorised as Mounjaro in 2022 and the one marketed as Zepbound in the United States, backed by the SURPASS and SURMOUNT Phase 3 programs. Canada Peptides carries research-grade tirzepatide as a lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only. It is not the approved drug and carries no DIN.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Approximately 5 days (about 117 hours) after subcutaneous injection
- Approved as a prescription drug (Mounjaro, 2022). Research-grade material has no DIN — research use only
Retatrutide
GLP-1 / GIP / glucagon triple agonist
Retatrutide is an investigational peptide from Eli Lilly that activates three metabolic receptors — GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon — on a single backbone. It is the first triple agonist to reach Phase 3, with a 2023 Phase 2 trial reporting the largest body-weight change yet seen with an incretin peptide, and it is not approved by any regulator anywhere. Canada Peptides carries research-grade retatrutide in 10, 15, 20 and 30 mg vials and a 15 mg reloadable pen, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Approximately 6 days after subcutaneous injection (Phase 1 data)
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN; investigational everywhere. Research use only
HGH Fragment 176-191
C-terminal growth hormone fragment
HGH Fragment 176-191 is a synthetic 16-amino-acid peptide corresponding to the C-terminal tail of human growth hormone — the short region that, in the 1990s, was found to carry the hormone's fat-metabolising activity without its effects on glucose or IGF-1. It is the same sequence that Metabolic Pharmaceuticals developed as AOD-9604 and took into human obesity trials, where it was well tolerated but did not meet its primary endpoint. Canada Peptides carries research-grade HGH Fragment 176-191 as a lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- No published human pharmacokinetic study of the injectable fragment; rodent data indicate rapid clearance
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
AOD-9604
Modified growth hormone fragment
AOD-9604 is a synthetic 16-amino-acid peptide built from the C-terminal region of human growth hormone, with a tyrosine at the N-terminus for stability. Developed by Metabolic Pharmaceuticals in Australia as an oral anti-obesity drug, it reduced fat mass in rodents without growth hormone's effects on glucose or IGF-1, then went through Phase 2 trials in nearly a thousand people where it proved safe but did not meet its weight-loss endpoint. Canada Peptides carries research-grade AOD-9604 as a lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- No published human pharmacokinetic study of the injectable form; oral exposure in trials was low; rodent clearance is rapid
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Tesofensine
Triple monoamine reuptake inhibitor (small molecule)
Tesofensine is not a peptide. It is a small synthetic molecule — a tropane-based inhibitor of noradrenaline, dopamine and serotonin reuptake — that a Danish neuroscience company developed for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease, failed with, and then repurposed when trial participants lost weight. Its 2008 Phase 2 obesity trial in The Lancet reported placebo-subtracted weight loss of about 10% at the highest dose, roughly twice what the approved drugs of that era achieved, alongside a rise in heart rate and blood pressure that has shaped everything since. Canada Peptides carries research-grade tesofensine, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only. It has no approval in Canada, the United States or Europe.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Roughly 9 days (about 220 hours) for the parent; longer for the active metabolite NS2360; steady state takes weeks
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN; not approved by FDA or EMA. Research use only
Ipamorelin
Growth hormone secretagogue (ghrelin receptor agonist)
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide developed by Novo Nordisk in the 1990s as the first growth hormone secretagogue that released GH without also releasing ACTH, cortisol or prolactin. It acts on the ghrelin receptor, has a plasma half-life of about two hours, and reached Phase 2 trials for postoperative ileus before the programme was abandoned. Canada Peptides carries research-grade ipamorelin as a standalone vial and pre-mixed with CJC-1295, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Approximately 2 hours in human volunteers (intravenous PK modelling)
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
CJC-1295
GHRH analogue (with and without DAC)
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of the first 29 amino acids of growth hormone-releasing hormone, modified at four positions to resist enzymatic breakdown. It exists in two forms that share a name and little else: with a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) that binds serum albumin and extends the half-life to about a week, and without it, where the half-life is measured in minutes. The DAC version was developed by ConjuChem in Montréal and reached Phase 2 before the programme stopped. Canada Peptides carries research-grade CJC-1295 with DAC, without DAC, and pre-mixed with ipamorelin, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- With DAC: 5.8–8.1 days in humans. Without DAC: roughly 30 minutes
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Tesamorelin
GHRH analogue
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of full-length growth hormone-releasing hormone with a fatty-acid cap that protects it from enzymatic breakdown. Developed by Theratechnologies in Montréal, it is the only GHRH analogue with a Health Canada and FDA market authorisation — as Egrifta, for excess abdominal fat in people with HIV-associated lipodystrophy — and it has the strongest human trial record of any compound in this class. The research-grade material sold here is not Egrifta. Canada Peptides carries research-grade tesamorelin priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- 26 minutes in healthy adults; 38 minutes in HIV-infected patients (product monograph)
- Approved as Egrifta (DIN) for HIV lipodystrophy only; research-grade material has no authorisation. Research use only
GHRP-2
Growth hormone-releasing peptide
GHRP-2, or pralmorelin, is a synthetic hexapeptide from Cyril Bowers' growth hormone-releasing peptide series — the compounds that led to the discovery of the ghrelin receptor. It is the most potent GH releaser of the classic GHRPs, also raises cortisol and prolactin, stimulates appetite, and is the only member of the family with a marketing approval anywhere: in Japan, as a single-dose diagnostic test for growth hormone deficiency. Canada Peptides carries research-grade GHRP-2 priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Short; on the order of an hour after intravenous or subcutaneous dosing in human studies
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
GHRP-6
Growth hormone-releasing peptide
GHRP-6 is a synthetic six-amino-acid peptide and the first growth hormone-releasing peptide shown to work in a living animal. It acts on the ghrelin receptor to trigger a pulse of growth hormone from the pituitary, and it is the GHRP with the most pronounced hunger effect — a property that follows directly from the receptor it shares with ghrelin. Canada Peptides carries research-grade GHRP-6 as a lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Short — reported on the order of 15–60 minutes after intravenous dosing; the GH pulse it triggers lasts roughly 1–2 hours
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Epithalon
Synthetic pineal tetrapeptide
Epithalon — also spelled epitalon — is a synthetic four-amino-acid peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, designed in the 1980s by Vladimir Khavinson's institute in St Petersburg as a defined substitute for epithalamin, a bovine pineal extract used in Soviet geriatric medicine. It is the compound most associated with telomerase activation in longevity research, a cell-culture finding that has, unusually, been reproduced by an independent laboratory. Everything above that layer — mouse lifespan, human outcomes — is thinner than its reputation. Canada Peptides carries research-grade epithalon as a 10 mg lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- No published pharmacokinetic study in any species; a short unmodified tetrapeptide is expected to clear within minutes
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
GLOW
Blend: GHK-Cu + BPC-157 + TB-500
GLOW is a three-peptide blend that puts the copper tripeptide GHK-Cu, the gastric pentadecapeptide BPC-157 and the thymosin-β4 fragment TB-500 in a single 70 mg vial. The rationale is mechanistic: extracellular-matrix remodelling from one component, angiogenic and nitric-oxide signalling from a second, and actin-driven cell migration from a third. No published study has tested the three together; what exists is the separate literature on each. Canada Peptides carries research-grade GLOW as a single lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Minutes for each component in plasma; tissue effects reported to outlast circulating levels
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN for the blend or any injectable component. Research use only
GHK-Cu
Copper tripeptide
GHK-Cu is the copper complex of glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, a tripeptide that circulates naturally in human plasma and declines sharply with age. Isolated by Loren Pickart in 1973, it has one of the longest research histories of any peptide on this site: cell-culture and animal wound-healing work, small human studies of topical creams, and a body of gene-expression data that has never been tested in a controlled injectable trial. Canada Peptides carries research-grade GHK-Cu as a standalone vial and as the anchor of the GLOW and KLOW blends, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Minutes in plasma for the free tripeptide; not formally characterised for the injectable route in humans
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN for injectable GHK-Cu. Research use only
Melanotan II
α-MSH analogue (melanocortin agonist)
Melanotan II is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, developed at the University of Arizona in the 1980s as a more potent and longer-acting way to stimulate skin pigment without ultraviolet light. Small human studies in the 1990s confirmed that it darkens skin and, unexpectedly, that it produces erections — the observation that led to PT-141. It is not approved anywhere, Health Canada has warned against unauthorised injectable tanning products, and its safety record includes nausea, flushing, darkening of moles and case reports of melanoma. Canada Peptides carries research-grade Melanotan II as a lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- On the order of an hour in early human PK; pigmentation and other effects persist far longer
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN; Health Canada advisories against unauthorised melanotan products. Research use only
PT-141
Melanocortin-4 receptor agonist (bremelanotide)
PT-141 — generic name bremelanotide — is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone that acts on the melanocortin receptor family, with MC4R the receptor of interest. It is unusual among research peptides in that it is an approved medicine somewhere: the U.S. FDA licensed it in 2019 as Vyleesi for one narrow indication in premenopausal women. It holds no authorisation in Canada. Canada Peptides carries research-grade PT-141 as a 10 mg lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only — it is not Vyleesi and not a generic of it.
- Half-life
- Canada
- About 2.7 hours (range 1.9–4.0 h) after subcutaneous injection, per the approved-product labelling
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN; FDA-approved as Vyleesi in the U.S. Research use only
Kisspeptin
GnRH-regulating neuropeptide (kisspeptin-10)
Kisspeptin is the family of peptides encoded by the KISS1 gene that sits at the top of the reproductive axis: it is the signal that tells GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus to fire, and without its receptor, puberty does not happen. The research-grade material is kisspeptin-10, the ten-residue C-terminal fragment that carries full receptor activity. Human physiology studies since 2005 — mostly from Imperial College London — have shown that it raises LH, FSH and sex steroids within minutes, and it has been trialled as an egg-maturation trigger in IVF. No kisspeptin product is approved anywhere. Canada Peptides carries research-grade kisspeptin-10, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Kisspeptin-10: about 4 minutes; kisspeptin-54: about 28 minutes (human intravenous data)
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Thymosin Alpha-1
Thymic immunomodulatory peptide
Thymosin alpha-1 (Tα1, thymalfasin) is a 28-amino-acid acetylated peptide first isolated from calf thymus in 1977 and now produced synthetically. It acts on the innate immune system — Toll-like receptors on dendritic cells — and downstream on T-cell maturation and natural-killer activity. Unusually for a peptide sold for research, it is an approved medicine in more than thirty countries under the brand name Zadaxin, for chronic hepatitis B and as an immune adjuvant, and it has been through randomised trials in sepsis, melanoma and severe COVID-19. It holds no authorisation in Canada or the United States. Canada Peptides carries research-grade thymosin alpha-1 as a lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- About 2 hours in plasma after subcutaneous injection; immune effects persist for days
- No Health Canada market authorisation or DIN; approved abroad as Zadaxin. Research use only
NAD+
Coenzyme (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)
NAD+ — nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide — is not a peptide. It is a coenzyme present in every living cell, the carrier of electrons in energy metabolism and the substrate consumed by sirtuins, PARPs and CD38. Tissue NAD+ levels decline with age in humans and animals, and restoring them is one of the most actively studied ideas in ageing biology — almost entirely through oral precursors such as nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide. Injected NAD+ itself has a single published human pharmacokinetic study and no controlled outcome trial. Canada Peptides carries research-grade NAD+ as a lyophilised vial alongside the peptide catalogue, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Extracellular NAD+ is degraded within minutes; intracellular pools turn over over hours
- Injectable NAD+ has no Health Canada market authorisation or DIN. Research use only
Glutathione
Tripeptide antioxidant
Glutathione is the tripeptide γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine — the most abundant non-protein thiol in mammalian cells and the molecule most of the body's redox buffering runs through. Unlike almost everything else in this catalogue it is an endogenous compound with a large biochemistry literature behind it; the open questions are about exogenous administration, where the evidence on oral, intravenous and intranasal routes is small, mixed and often uncontrolled. Canada Peptides carries research-grade reduced glutathione as a 600 mg lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Roughly 10–15 minutes in plasma after intravenous administration in humans; intracellular turnover is hours to days
- Oral glutathione is a licensed natural health product ingredient (NPN); no injectable product holds a DIN. Research use only
HCG
Human chorionic gonadotropin
Human chorionic gonadotropin — hCG — is the glycoprotein hormone the placenta makes in early pregnancy. It binds the same receptor as luteinising hormone, which is why it has been an approved fertility medicine for decades and why it is studied wherever the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis is the question. It is not a short peptide: at roughly 36 kDa and one-third carbohydrate by mass it is one of the largest molecules in this catalogue, and it is dosed in international units rather than milligrams. Canada Peptides carries research-grade hCG as a 5,000 IU lyophilised vial, priced and shipped in CAD for laboratory and research use only. It is not the Health Canada-approved product.
- Half-life
- Canada
- Biphasic; terminal half-life roughly 24–36 hours after injection in humans
- Approved prescription drugs exist (Pregnyl, Ovidrel) with DINs; research-grade hCG is not the approved product. Research use only
How these profiles are built
Every profile follows the same eleven-section template so compounds can be compared like for like. Mechanism and evidence sections cite the primary literature; dosing sections report what published studies did rather than recommending anything; regulatory sections state Health Canada, FDA and WADA status as of the review date shown on each page. Where the evidence is single-laboratory, animal-only or absent, the profile says so.
